ShiaJamaat is a community-driven Islamic organisation based in Birmingham, United Kingdom, founded by philanthropists with a dedication to serving the Muslim community — particularly those in the UK.
Our work is guided by the belief that every significant life event — marriage, reconciliation, divorce, conversion — deserves to be approached with care, dignity, and proper Islamic guidance. We bring together registered Alims and trained mediators to ensure that community members can access authentic, trustworthy services wherever they are in the UK.
What we do
We assist the community with six core services:
- Nikaah — Islamic marriage ceremony and Nikaah Certificate, conducted by registered Shia Alims.
- Talaaq — Islamic divorce petition and Talaaq Certificate, handled by our resident Alim.
- Mediation — Confidential Islamic mediation for couples and families, facilitating reconciliation and resolution.
- Conversion to Islam — Guided Kalema ceremony with a registered Alim and Conversion Certificate.
- Islamic Will — Free online Wasiyya generator, Shia Ithna-Asheri compliant.
- Khums — Free Excel calculators to help individuals and businesses fulfil their Khums obligation.
All services are conducted and approved by authorised ShiaJamaat team members.
Our certificates
ShiaJamaat issues Nikaah Certificates, Talaaq Certificates, and Conversion to Islam Certificates. These certificates are not official civil registrations in any country, though they are accepted by legal and religious organisations as evidence of the relevant Islamic proceedings within the community.
