“One who has not prepared a proper will at his death lacks magnanimity and intellect.”
Prophet Muhammad — peace be upon him and his progeny
Shaykh al-Saduq, Man lā Yaḥḍuruhu al-Faqīh, vol. 2, p. 276
— one of The Four Books of Shia Hadith
In Islam, the Wasiyya — the last will and testament — is not merely a legal document. It is a profound act of worship, a fulfilment of trust, and a final gift of clarity to those you leave behind. Allah (SWT) commands in the Holy Quran:
“Prescribed for you, when death approaches any of you and he leaves behind any property, is that he make a bequest for his parents and relatives, in an honourable manner — an obligation on the God-wary.”
Holy Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah 2:180Yet for many in our community — particularly our elders — writing a will can feel daunting, confusing, or simply something to put off until tomorrow. This service exists to change that. With step-by-step guidance, plain English, and no paperwork, we make it easy to fulfil this sacred duty today.
The Shia Jamaat Islamic Will Generator was created specifically to serve the senior members of our Shia Ithna-Asheri community. We recognised that existing will-writing services were either expensive, overly complex, or did not account for the specific religious requirements of our faith — such as Khums, Kazaa prayers, Mahr, and the distribution of the estate according to Shia jurisprudence.
“Every parent wants to leave things in order. This tool makes sure your wishes are written down the Islamic way — clearly, correctly, and without stress.”
— Shia Jamaat Community TeamThis is a completely free service. There is no account to create, no subscription, and no fee. You simply fill in the guided form, and your completed Islamic Will is sent directly to your email as a professionally formatted Word document — ready to print, sign, and store.
We do not store, log, or save any of your personal information — not your name, address, assets, or email. Your data exists only long enough to generate your document and send it to you. Once submitted, it is permanently removed from our system. This is not a promise — it is how the service is built.
We understand that some members of our community may prefer personal guidance when completing their Islamic Will — particularly when there are complex religious matters to discuss, or when English is not a first language.
ShiaJamaat.com offers an Assisted Will Service for those who would like the presence and guidance of a qualified Shia Alim (scholar) while completing their Islamic Will. Each scholar on this service is registered with ShiaJamaat and verified within the Shia Ithna-Asheri tradition.
Simply contact ShiaJamaat.com to request this service. An appointment will be arranged with a registered Alim at a time and location convenient to you.
This service has been thoughtfully designed to be accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of technical experience.

We also encourage you to inform a trusted family member or your local Islamic community leader that the will exists. A will that cannot be found is as good as no will at all.
It takes less than fifteen minutes. It is free, private, and designed especially for our community. May Allah (SWT) accept it from you.
